Countertops for Interior and Kitchen Designers

You can draw a perfect elevation, but the stone decides whether the room works: where the vein runs, where the seam lands, how the edge catches light. We fabricate and install countertops for interior designers and kitchen designers who want their specifications carried out faithfully, from slab selection through install.

Selection

Select Slabs With Your Client

Natural stone varies from slab to slab, so approval from a photo or small sample is a risk. Bring your clients to our showroom at 11741 Metro Pkwy in Fort Myers to walk the actual slabs. If you have a favorite stone, ask about holding a slab while the design is finalized. Browse ideas first on the colors page, or study movement in quartzite and marble before you visit.

Marking a template · HB yard

  • Layout reviewBefore cutting, you and your client review how the slab will be laid out, so you can steer vein direction, seam placement and where the pattern falls across an island or run.
  • BookmatchingWhen two slabs from the same block are opened like a book, their patterns mirror each other. It makes a dramatic focal point on a backsplash or island, but it depends on the slabs available and the geometry of the piece. Raise it early.
  • Waterfall edgesA waterfall carries the slab down the side of an island. It needs extra stone and careful pattern planning to read as one continuous piece.
  • Full-height backsplashesRunning the countertop stone up the wall removes grout lines and gives the kitchen a cleaner finish. Outlet and window placement should be locked in before templating.
  • Edge profilesFrom clean eased edges to thicker built-up looks, the profile should match the style of the cabinets and the stone’s character.

Guidance

Honest Material Guidance

You’ll get straight answers about performance. Marble etches with acids and develops a patina, which some clients love and others won’t tolerate. Some stones sold as quartzite are actually softer dolomite or marble, and the showroom can explain the difference. Quartz offers consistent color, with trivets recommended for heat. Natural stone is sealed periodically. Setting those expectations with your client at the start prevents callbacks later.

Questions

Designer FAQs

Another question about designers? Call the showroom and talk to someone who works with the stone every day.

Can my client choose a slab at the showroom?

Yes. We encourage it. Seeing the full slab in person is the best way to judge color, movement and variation, and you’re welcome to join the visit.

Can you fabricate a bookmatched or waterfall design?

Bookmatching and waterfall edges are possible when the stone and the geometry allow it. Share your drawing so we can talk through slab requirements and seam placement.

What should I send to start a project?

Drawings or elevations, the stone you have in mind, edge and backsplash preferences, and sink or cooktop specs. Photos of inspiration help us understand the look.
