Bathroom Countertops and Vanity Tops
Bathroom surfaces are smaller than kitchen ones, but they’re seen up close every day, and the details matter more than the square footage suggests. HB Marble & Granite cuts and installs vanity tops and bathroom countertops in granite, quartz, marble, quartzite and porcelain, sized to your cabinets and built around your sink and faucet choices.

Planning
Bathroom Countertop Planning for Single, Double and Custom Vanities
The cabinet is the starting point. A template visit at your home measures the vanity as it’s actually installed, including wall conditions, because bathroom walls are rarely perfectly square.
01
Single vanities
A straightforward top with one sink, where the stone’s movement can be the focal point.
02
Double vanities
Longer runs may need a seam, so we review the layout with you before cutting to decide where it falls and how the veining flows.
03
Undermount, vessel and integrated sinks
Each needs different cutouts and faucet planning, so bring your fixture details to the template visit.
04
Splashes
A short splash, or tall wall coverage behind the vanity, coordinated with mirrors and outlets.
Surfaces
Choosing a Bathroom Surface
Bathrooms are humid, and they see soap, toothpaste, cosmetics and cleaners. That favors surfaces that are easy to keep clean.
Quartz is non-porous, needs no sealing and stays consistent in color, which suits busy family baths. Marble is the classic choice for a primary bath. It’s softer and etches with acids, so it suits people who accept a lived-in patina and reseal it. Granite and quartzite offer natural variation with good hardness, and both are sealed periodically. For a marble look with extra hardness, ask about quartzite or dolomite at the showroom. Our post on white marble bathroom design shows how that look comes together.

Wet areas
Showers, Benches and Niches
Stone isn’t only for the vanity. Shower curbs and thresholds, benches, niche shelves and window sills can all be cut from the same slab for a matching look. Wet areas call for a stone and finish chosen with care, so talk with us about where each piece will be used.
Bathrooms
Whole-Home Projects
Many customers update the kitchen and several bathrooms together. Doing them as one project lets you choose stones that work as a set, and a remnant from one space can sometimes serve in another. Tell us the full list when you call, and we’ll plan the selections together. Browse finished spaces in the gallery or see how a kitchen project is planned.
Questions
Bathroom Countertop FAQs
Another question about bathrooms? Call the showroom and talk to someone who works with the stone every day.
What countertop materials work for bathrooms?
Granite, quartz, quartzite, marble and porcelain all work. Quartz and porcelain are the lowest maintenance because they’re non-porous. Natural stones need periodic sealing, and marble needs the most care because it etches with acidic products. The best choice depends on how the bathroom is used.
Can a vanity top include a backsplash?
Yes. Vanity tops can have a short backsplash, side splashes, or a full-height backsplash that runs up the wall. We confirm the height with your mirror and outlet locations before fabrication.
What information is needed for sink cutouts?
We need the sink model and type, such as undermount or vessel, plus the faucet and the number of holes it needs. Bringing the spec sheets to the template visit lets the cutouts be planned accurately.
